CAF Confirms Cameroon Readiness For Hosting of 2021 CHAN

Confederation of African Football (CAF) has said that the hosts of 2021 African Nations Cup, Cameroon, has reassured them of successful hosting of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN), BSNSports.com.ng reports.
This conclusion was reached after the Executive Committee meeting was held last Thursday. Before the meeting, CAF Committee had visited Yaounde, Douala and Limbe - the three stadia marked to host the championship.
The inspection of facilities was carried out in the three cities that will host the CHAN competition which takes place from 16 January to 7 February 2021.
CAF Executive Committee after the inspection says that they are pleased with the progress of preparations in the three centers as well as Ivory Coast who will organize 2023 AFCON.
According to the body, who carried out an inspection visit in the country, “the various works should be carried out before the announced deadlines”.
CHAN is played by the home-based players of participating nations.
The CAF Executive Committee has also decided to push back the African Super Cup. Competition that set up the CAF Champions League winners, Al Ahly against CAF Cup winners, RS Berkane.
